📕My Review

Lawyer Michael, a diagnosed schizophrenic, has managed to maintain a happy and loving relationship with wife Ellen since an earlier serious psychotic episode. Ellen is pregnant with their first child and they're about to discover the sex of the baby... but Michael is running late and his day is suddenly going to get a whole lot worse.

Michael discovers his wife died four days earlier and not only that; the evidence points to him having murdered her. If Ellen really is dead, why is she phoning him at 36 minutes past every hour and why does each call last exactly 90 seconds? Has Michael finally lost his sanity or will Ellen return home alive?

90 Seconds from Sanity is a gripping thriller. The suspense builds nicely and it's one of those books you simply can't put down until you know how it ends. I loved the various twists and turns and I'm hoping there's a second book that will develop the character of coroner Lizzy. A great twisty, thrilling read.

The story contains some graphic descriptions of sexual violence so please be aware it can be difficult reading at times.

My thanks to author C.J. Wilton for providing a copy of this book.

📗The Blurb

Michael Flannery's has it all, or so he thinks. Today he's meeting his beautiful wife, Ellen, to find out the sex of their first baby.

It's the happiest day of his life, until it isn't. Michael gets stuck at the office, and by the time he gets to the clinic, Ellen is gone. When he returns home, everything around him indicates his wife died four days earlier.

The police are suspicious. But Ellen keeps calling him on his cell phone, assuring him that she is fine. Is he crazy? Why can't he remember anything? And if Ellen is dead, who keeps calling him? Michael's grasp on reality is crumbling.

Can reality alter so much in a single day?
