A bit of a silly story but it kept me out of mischief for a few hours. The author's use of bad grammar i.e. 'you was' instead of 'you were' drove me to near insanity but hey-ho, I lasted until the end. I would have liked to have seen some form of punishment metered out for Rye's drink-driving accident but he seemed to have avoided any form of law enforcement despite being hospitalised with a serious head injury. It served to make a daft story even dafter. For a book classed as 'horror', it wasn't in the least bit scary.
